TRACK PREMIRE \\ Gaijin Blues reveal dancefloor-ready new single, ‘Professor Tatsuro Kensu’

16th July 2019

After the success of their debut EP, Gaijin Blues reveal dancefloor-pumping new single ‘Professor Tatsuro Kensu’ from their forthcoming album.

The duo continue to fuel their music with inspiration from Japanese samples, also drawing from their love of video games, leading to an acoustic x digital balance that is ripe for DJs and live performances. New single ‘Professor Tatsuro Kensu’ is on this thread, named after one of the characters in an imaginary 16 bit JRPG video game.

Ripe for filing next to Ptaki, Anchorsong, Onra, Shigeto, Nobuo Uematsu and Yasunori Mitsuda, Gaijin Blues have marked out a distinctive sound, supported by the likes of BBC 6Music, NTS, Worldwide FM, KCRW, Nemone, Esa, Matt Black, Marcel Vogel and Mathieu Schreyer.

Catch Gaijin Blues supporting Romare at London’s Jazz Cafe on Friday July the 19th.

Download the track from Bandcamp, out now via Shapes Of Rhythm.
