Anderson .Paak has dropped a new single and announced the release date and track listing for his fourth album, ‘Ventura’. Landing on 12 April, the new record – which was recorded during his ‘Oxnard’ sessions – will feature contributions from André 3000, Smokey Robinson, Lalah Hathaway, the late Nate Dogg, and more.

A tour announcement also accompanies the news, with dates yet to be revealed. The ‘Best Teef In the Game Tour’ will see him joined by Thundercat for every show, whilst Mac DeMarco, Earl Sweatshirt, Noname, and Jessie Reyez are all set to make appearances, too. The news comes on the dawn of his London show at Alexandra Palace, tonight.

New track ‘King James’ is a return to the funkier side of Anderson .Paak that we heard on second album ‘Malibu’, teamed with a more political outlook; “If they build a wall, let’s jump the fence, I’m over it”. However, the track is also thought to be in dedication to basketball play Lebron James, who gave back to the communities that raised him; “And we salute King James for using his chain, to create some equal opportunities,” he sings. Listen to the single ‘King James’, below.
