NEWS \\ 25 more artists announced for Love Supreme Festival 2019

Love Supreme Jazz Festival has revealed its next wave of artists confirmed to perform at Glynde Place in East Sussex from July 5–7 2019. Joining the already-announced Ms. Lauryn Hill, Snarky Puppy and Kamaal Williams will be a variety of established and emerging artists from both across the seas and the UK’s own thriving scene. For the seventh year of Love Supreme Jazz Festival, Louie Vega will be performing with his Elements of Life band, as well as a DJ set. Chicago hot tips Makaya McCraven and Marquis Hill’s Blacktet will be hitting the UK, as well as New Orleans five piece Tank and the Bangas and Grammy-nominated pianist Christian Sands. 

Love Supreme will be the perfect spot to catch the best UK talent across one weekend; Mercury Prize nominated Gogo Penguin return, whilst SEED Ensemble and Steam Down make their Love Supreme debuts. BBC Sound of 2019 and Brits critics’ choice nominee Mahalia hits the stage, as does tuba player Theon Cross following the release of his ‘Fyah’ album. Spiritual Jazz group Maisha take us deep, Joe Armon-Jones goes in and iconic acid-jazz group Brand New Heavies will be getting nostalgic. 

There’s still more artists to be announced, alongside DJs, the line-up of Q&As and panels in the Jazz Lounge, the Jazz in the Round stage and afterparties.
